She will be deeply remembered for her unwavering faith, servant’s heart, kindness, generosity, and the love she poured into everyone around her.
Lynne found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. She loved going on cruises, playing cards and dominos, watching game shows, and working sudoku puzzles. She especially cherished listening to her son-in-law and grandchildren play the violin. Her flower beds brought her happiness, but nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her grandchildren. Whether taking them shopping, attending homeschool classes and events, or supporting them in karate, tennis, and art, Lynne was always present, encouraging, and loving.
Her faith in God was the foundation of her life. She faithfully attended church, treasured time with her Sunday school class, participated in Bible study, and dedicated much of her life to ministry and serving others. Lynne worked for many years as a realtor alongside her husband, Danny. Following her real estate career, she became deeply involved in the pro-life movement. She first served at the Crisis Pregnancy Center and later helped establish the Learning Center. Following that work, she founded the Shreveport chapter of Imagine Life Ministries, where she faithfully ministered to countless individuals and families.
Lynne’s passions began early in life with her love of bowling. She participated in many leagues over the years and once dreamed of becoming a professional bowler. After dedicating her life fully to the Lord, her passion shifted toward ministry and discipleship. She became heavily involved in the Experiencing God study and continued faithfully serving through her pro-life ministries and church community.
She will be remembered for her encouragement, selflessness, supportiveness, devotion, faithfulness, and active prayer life. Lynne loved her family deeply, especially her cousins Amy, Patti, Steve, and Caroline, and treasured the relationships and memories they shared throughout her life.
Lynne is survived by her daughter, Allison Patterson (Jim), and granddaughters Sarah Patterson and Hannah Patterson, as well as cousins Amy Polland (Wiley and family), Patti Gossein (Alain and family), and Steve Wilkinson (Marcia and family).
She was preceded in death by Danny Foster, Stephanie Foster, Jorene Dupuy, John Dupuy, and Richard Barney.
The family would like to extend special thanks to her Sunday school class for the tremendous love shown to Lynne and to the entire family throughout this journey. The family is also deeply grateful to the LSU 6th Floor Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, doctors and medical teams, St. Joseph Carpenter House Hospice, Dr. Pope and staff, the church community and staff at Broadmoor Baptist Church, many faithful friends including Marcia Harper and Katie Mook, Dr. Derek Pearce, and all family members and friends who offered support, prayers, and encouragement. Above all, the family gives thanks to God for His perfect grace, mercy, and timing.
Visitation will be held at Broadmoor Baptist Church, 4110 Youree Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana, on May 27, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 10:00 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Jim Patterson, Ben Wood, Austin Wood, Mike Harris, and Taunton Melville.
Burial will follow at Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana, in the American Heritage section, Lot 123, Space 1.
May her legacy of faith, love, and service continue to live on in all who knew her.
