Harry William "Mack" McKinley, was born July 17, 1940 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Phyllis June Huntsman and Peter O. McKinley. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at the age of 83.
Mack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was faithful and active member of Christ Lutheran Church. At church, He served as an Elder and also taught Sunday School. Mack was a simple man who enjoyed playing his guitar, playing with his puppy (Poppy or little Poppy because he was big Poppy) and spending time with his family. He adored his family with all his heart. At his home, Fox News was always on, until he didn't like what they had to say. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five siblings and two daughters, Stacy Leigh McKinley and Kyra Jo McKinley Weaver.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 40 years, Rita Douget McKinley; children, Kelly June McKinley Johnson (Curt Johnson), John A. "Tony" Pickett, Michael "Mickey" Pickett (Melissa Pickett), Rachael Bairnsfather and Tiffany Lynn Anderton; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
A visitation for Mack will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Christ Lutheran Church, 290 Idema, Shreveport, Louisiana 71106, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM. Pastor Perry Culver will be officiating the service.
