Mrs. Margaret Register Ferguson

A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, July 5th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home with Mike Ryan officiating. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until time of service.

Margaret was born in Logansport, Louisiana on May 13, 1929, and resided in Shreveport most of her life until she moved to the New Orleans area for health reasons. She was a member of Trinity Heights Baptist Church and enjoyed sharing her love of the Bible by teaching Sunday School for 40 years. She was also a long-time member of the Trinity Heights choir. She loved her church and the many friends that she had there.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, her son Michael Scott Kilman, her husband Lloyd Gregg Kilman and her second husband Thomas Stanley Ferguson, Sr.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Kilman Lazarre (Gary Lazarre), step-daughter Cindy Ferguson Ortego (Gerald Ortego) and their children Paul Ortego (Kristal) and David Ortego; step-son Thomas Stanley Ferguson, Jr., and his children Julia Ferguson Wehlander (Andy) John Ferguson and Ashley Rebecca Kirkland (C.J.); her sister-in-law Bobbye Ferguson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
