Her journey in this life began on September 4,1933, in DeKalb, Texas, as the middle child, and only daughter, of Thelma and Morris Harland. She spent most of her younger years bouncing between DeKalb and Texarkana, Texas.
Upon graduating high school, she attended Southern Methodist University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business/accounting. After graduation and her return to Texarkana, she married the love of her life, Charles Thomas Dolph and shortly thereafter moved to Shreveport, La where she spent the remainder of her life.
She was deeply dedicated to sowing care and compassion wherever she could. Though particularly lavishing her love and care on her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grands, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, and extended family; many neighbors, colleagues, and acquaintances could easily affirm that she loved and served with all her heart. She was a long time, active member of Summer Grove United Methodist Church, as well as a dedicated member and leader in the Southern Hills Chapter, Order of Eastern Star; the Social Order of Beauceant; and the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem. She also lent her mothering heart and wisdom to many through her work with the International Order of Rainbow Girls.
She is survived by her children -Geneva Dolph; Tom Dolph and wife Jane; Evelyn Andrews and husband James; Her grandchildren Amanda (Bret) and Chris Dolph; Stephen (Katlyn) and David Andrews; and two great grandchildren, Emery and Nolan Andrews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charles Dolph; parents, Morris and Thelma Harland; and her two brothers James Parker and Charles Harland.
