Mary Nell was a spunky lady who loved deeply and shared her joy with everyone she met. She had a special fondness for gospel music, especially when played on any instrument, and she could often be found surrounded by family, enjoying her mother’s biscuits and chicken and dumplings, with chocolate pie for dessert.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Mary Nell led a rich and purposeful life. She served as a Girl Scout troop leader and found joy in crafts such as needlepoint, plastic canvas, and quilting. She was also an avid people watcher and loved sitting outside, watching the cars go by. Above all, she had an unwavering faith and a deep desire for others to know Jesus. She was a lifelong member at Barron Road Baptist Church.
