Mary was a hard working housewife before and after retiring from AT&T in 1990. She was employed there for more than 20 years. She was married to Joe Ferguson for 58 years. She loved her family, her dogs, and gardening. She was a wonderful cook and seldom used a recipe .She nursed and took care of her late husband diligently before his death. The two of them loved traveling to Vegas and going dancing. They spent many years watching their son and grandchildren playing football and other sports.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Peace and husband Joe Raymond Peace; her son , Joe Ferguson and wife Sandy; grandchildren, Ray Peace, Robert Peace and wife Courtney, Kristen Brantley and husband Drew, and Trey Ferguson and wife Danielle; great grandchildren, Tori, J.P., John Henry, Perry, and Mckenna; other relatives and many friends.
A service celebrating the life of Mary Alice Ferguson will occur Friday, July 16, 2021, 2:00 PM at the graveside in Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport, LA. A visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home before the service. Officiating will be Rev. Brian Mercer.
