Mary Elizabeth "Polly" Robertson

SHREVEPORT, LA – Mary Elizabeth Bickham Robertson (Polly), passed away on January 16, 2015, at The Oaks in Shreveport. Dr. Carl Rhoades of First United Methodist Church, which Polly was a longtime member, will conduct graveside services at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Centuries Memorial Park.

Polly was born in Shreveport on August 30, 1922, and attended Fair Park High School as did her nine brothers and sister. She enjoyed traveling, playing bridge and spending time with her grandchildren. She is remembered for her wonderful disposition and constant loving smile.

Polly is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Henry. She is survived by two sons and their families: Ron and wife Merrie Jo of Monroe; children, Beth Newman and husband Lee, Scott Robertson and wife Dzung; great-grandchildren, Grace Newman, twins; Frances and Max Newman, Ian Robertson; Rick Robertson and wife Nancy of St. Louis and their son Mark. She is also survived by brothers, Charles Bickham and Jack Bickham of Shreveport.

The family would like to thank niece, Jerry Hayes and husband Terry, for the special care and attention they gave Polly over the years.

Polly requested that any memorials be made to First United Methodist Church, Eternal Flame, in Shreveport.
