Maxine Barton

She was co-owner of Barton Glass also Stop Agan Rentals in Texarkana. She loved spending time with family and friends. She was such a loving and caring person always putting others before herself. She also loved traveling and fishing. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memory are Son-in-law Gary Sliman, and grandson Wes Mason who she loved so much and a great granddaughter Tara Maxine Mason that was her pride and joy. A close Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Donald Ray & Shirley Barton, niece Donna Sutton and husband Greg, nephew Scott and wife Emily Sutton of Colorado. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and sisters.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents David and Susie Gordy, husband JT Barton, and a brother James (Sonny) Gordy.

Also following her in death, is her daughter, Natalie Barton Sliman, who passed away shortly after Ms. Maxine.

A special thanks to all the doctors, nurses, and aids for all the loving care she received at Willis Knighton North.

Visitation will be at Centuries Memorial in Chapel, Sunday September 26, 2021 from 2-4 pm.
