Shane was born on April 22, 1970 to Richard and Carol Nicholson in Shreveport. After he graduated from Caddo Magnet High School in 1988, Shane attended Harding University. He led a successful career as an internet sales manager for Hebert Town and Country where he won Salesman of the Year in 2022.
Shane had his first and only child, Jason Richard Nicholson in 1999, who was his absolute pride and joy. Shane loved sports, cooking, live music, and traveling. He enjoyed being on the water, any & all tech gadgets, and a good corny dad joke. Shane was a gentle giant that lived and loved out loud. He will be incredibly missed and always loved by his dear friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his loving mother, Joan Carol Nicholson, who he adored; and grandparents Jerry and Dorothy Nicholson, and Steve and Seva Struve. He is survived by his son, Jason Richard Nicholson; father, Richard J. Nicholson; sister, Nikki Hudson and her husband, Eric, and their 3 children, Nicholas, Henry, and Evan; and multiple cousins, aunts, and uncles.
A celebration of life will be held at Centuries Memorial at 8801 Mansfield Rd, Shreveport, LA 71108 on Saturday, April 22nd at 2pm with visitation starting at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the Providence House.
