SHREVEPORT, LA - Nancy Jean Canavan Kirkpatrick, 61, passed away on July 10, 2017, after a long battle with cancer. Nancy was born in Champaign, Illinois, May 10, 1956, the daughter of Ernest and Marcella Canavan. She attended Paxton schools and obtained her Master of Arts from Louisiana Tech University. Nancy was a licensed family counselor and a 31-year resident of Bossier City, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew. She is survived by two sons, Ryan and Brennan Kirkpatrick, two sisters, two brothers, many nieces, nephews and extended family including an amazing circle of caring and supportive friends.
