Neal P. LeBlanc, 89 years old of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away of natural causes December 20, 2019. He was born in GrandPoint, Louisiana. He graduated from Destrehan Highschool in Destrehan, Louisiana. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After his service, he graduated Electronic Technician school in New Orleans, Louisiana. He proudly worked for NASA at Cape Kennedy, Florida during the Apollo Saturn V program, working to perfect the heat shields for the rocket launches. He retired from AT&T/Lucent Technology in Shreveport after 25 years of service in telephone production.
He is survived by this wife, Elaine Wilson LeBlanc, of 52 years. His daughter, Jeanne LeBlanc Nope & husband Edwin of Bossier City, Louisiana. His son, Barry LeBlanc & wife Angel, of Greenwood, Louisiana. His daughter Barbara Kellar of RiverRidge, Louisiana. Grandchildren are Patrick Neal Bucklew, Braden LeBlanc, Dylan LeBlanc, and Haven LeBlanc, Of 3 sisters and 7 brothers, he is survived by his brother Lee LeBlanc & wife Sheila of Redlands, California. And numerous neices and nephews.
A proud Cajun, he loved Jesus with his whole heart, his wife of 52 years, his family, his country, the military, LSU football, and the New Orleans Saints.
Visitation is Thursday 12/26/19 at 1pm, with service following at 2pm at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home in Shreveport.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and all ancillary staff of Willis Knighton Pierremont Hospital, 8th floor telemetry and ICU, for their outstanding and thoughtful care during his hospitalization.
