Nellie lived a joyful life doing for others. In the years I knew her, she encouraged me, worked with me in the nursery, helped with children's choir snacks, and personally remembered birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, etc. with cards, handmade gifts, best wishes, etc. She enjoyed playing bingo, and shared her winnings (all those quarters) with the little ones. Nellie will live on through all those she touched. She will continue to be a role model for me. My husband, Ron, gave Nellie rides to church. He often said it was a pleasure. He continued to call her when she was unable to attend any longer just to check on her. She was indeed a special lady.

Sweet Nellie had the kindest heart of anyone I know. Have known her since I married Mike McInturf. And last few years been visiting her weekly. Loved talking to her about the past and her family. May God hold her family tightly in His arms while they go through this time. We will see her again. Praise God. Love and Prayers to all of you. Beth Turner

I have so many sweet memories of Nellie. One was at Water Town 10 - 12 years ago. We took our grandchildren and were surprised to find Nellie lounging in the shallow water in the wave pool. Age never stopped Nellie from having fun! She was always an inspiration. I pray for the family and thank God for the privilege of knowing her.
