Nino Ryan Arcamo passed away on April 6, 2026, at the age of 45. Born on December 9, 1980, in General Santos, Philippines, Nino made his home in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he built a life defined by dedication, laughter, and a deep love for others.
Nino devoted much of his professional life to education. He worked with the Caddo Parish School Board since 2008 and was honored as Teacher of the Year at Oak Park Elementary School for the 2015–2016 school year. His passion for helping students continued in his role as an Instructional Specialist in the Department of Exceptional Children, where he supported special education with compassion and commitment. In 2026, he began a new chapter as a realtor with Grace Realty, LLC. He was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus.
Outside of his career, Nino embraced life with energy and enthusiasm, and nowhere was that more evident than in his love for photography. He rarely went anywhere without his camera, always ready to capture a moment—whether it was a quiet landscape, a candid laugh, or a gathering of friends and family. Through his lens, he preserved memories that might have otherwise gone unnoticed, turning everyday experiences into lasting keepsakes. Photography was more than a hobby for Nino; it was his way of telling stories, of holding on to joy, and of sharing how he saw the world—with color, humor, and heart.
He also loved karaoke, hiking, barbecuing, basketball, and swimming, and he had a passion for traveling and adventure. Known for his lively and magnetic personality, Nino was rowdy, bubbly, and fearless—a natural comedian who could light up any room with his humor. He was hardworking, driven, and direct, yet also discreet and deeply genuine. Above all, he lived fully and unapologetically, bringing joy and laughter to those around him.
Nino was a man of deep integrity—trustworthy, responsible, and courageous in all that he did. He was never afraid to take bold steps if it meant creating a better future for his children. A devoted provider, he worked tirelessly and made decisions with care and intention, always striving to do what was best for his family. His strength, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment were evident in the life he built and the love he gave.
As a friend, Nino was unwaveringly loyal and dependable. He was always there when you needed him most, offering support without hesitation. He helped countless people in times of need, often putting others before himself. Even in difficult circumstances, he was willing to sacrifice and give whatever he could—sometimes even when it meant giving his last—because that was the kind of person he was: selfless, generous, and deeply compassionate.
He is survived by his wife, Marites Arcamo; his children, Pinky Arcamo and Skhyla Arcamo; his mother, Milagros Arcamo; his brothers, Samuel Arcamo III, Samuel Arcamo IV, and Mark Jason Arcamo; and his best friend, Geronimo Vallecera. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Samuel Arcamo Sr., and his father, Samuel Arcamo Jr.
A Funeral Mass will be held on April 10, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church, 1050 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, Louisiana.
Burial will follow at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home & Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, in the Reflections section.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all colleagues, the Filipino community, St. Mary of the Pines, the Knights of Columbus, and other organizations that he is affiliated with for their support, prayers, and kindness during this difficult time.
Nino will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His spirit, humor, and unforgettable presence will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
