Norma Brewton Hamilton, of Shreveport, Louisiana went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at the age of 90. She was born June 24, 1931 in Rhinehart, Louisiana to Artie Pittmon Brewton and Tommie Brewton.
Norma worked at American Optical for 35 years before completing 20 years of service at Shreve Optical as an Optician Clerk. Mamaw loved to read, crochet and tell stories of times gone by. She loved her family beyond measure and enjoyed visiting with friends and church family. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her best and loved her most.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, David Hamilton; grandsons, Brad Hamilton with wife Vicki and Matt with wife Angela; great grandsons, Shane Pitts, Hunter Hamilton, Jack Hamilton and Jude Hamilton.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Vance E. Hamilton; daughter, Jackie Hamilton; parents; and brother Zelbert Brewton.
A visitation for Norma will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108, followed by a graveside service at 10:00 AM. Officiating the service will be Bro. Woody Janise. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Joe Matthews, Jeff Matthews, Josh Matthews, Brad Hamilton, Matt Hamilton and Hunter Hamilton.
