Pamela Gaffney, age 78, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Pamela was born on Friday, January 10, 1947, in California, Missouri, to the late William Jewell and Hilda Irene Whitaker Lipscomb.
She graduated from Fair Park High School. Pamela worked at Western Electric/AT&T as an assembler. She remainder of her working career was spent assisting her husband as business owners. Pamela was involved in the Louisiana Association for the Blind and the Randolph Sheppard Program. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, and going out to eat with family and friends.
Pamela was preceded in passing by her parents, two siblings and their spouses: sister, Barbara and Joe Holliman; brother, Max and Linda Lipscomb; and one nephew, Terry Lipscomb.
Left to cherish Pamela's beautiful memories are her beloved husband, Frank Gaffney; her daughter, Karin Smith; five grandchildren: Matthew Dixon, Danielle Suarez and husband Anthony, Stephen Smith, Adrian Smith, Kristin Smith; two great-grandchildren: Lucinda Suarez, Louisa Suarez; two nieces: Cheryl Festervan and husband Danny, Donna Pannell and husband Ricky; one nephew, Garry Lipscomb; along with other extended family members, and numerous wonderful friends.
Memorials may be made in honor of Pamela Gaffney to Affiliated Blind of Louisiana, St. Jude Children's Hospital. or the American Kidney Foundation.
A visitation for Pamela will be held Friday, January 31, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 356 Warriner Avenue, Blanchard, Louisiana 71107.
A celebration of a life well lived will occur Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 356 Warriner Avenue, Blanchard, Louisiana 71107.
Pamela will be laid to rest on the grounds of Memorial Garden North, Blanchard, Louisiana privately on Monday, February 3, 2025.
The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to North Caddo Medical Center, Fresenius Kidney Care, Vivian Healthcare Center and Willis-Knighton for the great professional care and services provided to mom during her time in need. We would like to thank our extended family and friends for the prayers, and comforting words of condolences.
