Born in Minden, Louisiana, Patricia was the daughter of Charlene Beene Day and Carson Day. She spent over 30 years serving her community as a Registered Nurse at Schumpert, where her steady hands and calm spirit provided comfort to countless patients and their families. Her quiet dedication to the people she cared for reflected the way she lived her life with grace, strength, and unwavering compassion.
Outside of work, Patricia found joy in the simple, beautiful moments of everyday life. She had a deep love for cooking, and nothing brought her more happiness than preparing a home-cooked meal for her family. Her kitchen was alway a place of comfort, laughter, and love.
She adored classic movies and old Westerns. Patricia also had a lifelong love for being outdoors whether she was tending to her yard, planting flowers, or just enjoying the fresh air.
Patricia had a gift for seeing potential where others saw worn edges. She loved to refinish furniture, breathing new life into forgotten pieces and filling her home with items that told a story. Estate sales were her treasure hunts, she could spend hours browsing, always with a keen eye for the unique and meaningful.
She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Lynn Crain, her granddaughters, Morgan Alexis Crain and Devlyn Makenzie Crain, sister Bennie Bailey of Natchitoches, and brother Mike Day of Minden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Crain; her son, Steven Crain; her parents, Carson and Charlene Day, and brother Jerry Day.
