Patricia "Patti" Winfrey Hermes

Arrang Funeral services celebrating the life of Patricia “Patti” Winfrey Hermes, will be held Saturday, June 20, 2015, 2:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Richard Turnley. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be Friday, June 19 from 5 until 7 PM at the funeral home.

Patti lost her courageous battle with cancer on June 18, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marshall “Buck” Winfrey. Patti is survived by her loving husband, Michael Hermes, devoted children Jennifer and husband Jeff Monsour, Jason and wife Melissa Legg and two adoring grandchildren, Claire Elizabeth Monsour and Jackson Cole Legg who only knew her as Honey. She is also survived by her best friend and sister, Debra Winfrey Taylor and Connie Nail and husband Rodney; nieces, Tracye Howard and Ashley Nail, and nephews, Adam Nail and Matthew Nail.

Patti had a contagious joy of life and was always there to provide a good meal or a tight hug to anyone who needed it or a good laugh. Her kindness, laughter and friendship will be missed by so many. She was the matriarch of a devoted family to whom she dedicated every moment of her life. Her courage and strong will provided those she loved with peace and strength through her illness. The world is a duller place without the light of Patti’s heart in it.

The family would like to thank Dr. Scott McRight, Dr. Chad Hargon, her Angel on Earth Jill Pilinski, RN and the 4th floor Oncology nurses at WK North Hospital.

Pallbearers will be: Jason, Legg, Jackson Legg, Earnie Legg, Jeff Monsour, Jason Leon, and Jimmy Welch. Honorary Pallbearers are: Michael Howard, Rodney Nail, Adam Nail, Matthew Nail, Chris Hermes, Randal Hermes and Matthew Hermes.
