Dr. Paula Rene' Warren Peace

Services for Dr. Paula Rene’ Warren Peace, 50, will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Roten officiating. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be between

12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Paula was born on June 17, 1961, in Shreveport, LA to parents, John Allen and Pauline (Redit) Warren. She passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, in Starkville, MS following a lengthy illness.

Paula was a graduate of Woodlawn High School. She received her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degrees in Industrial Organizational Psychology and Counseling as well as completed a two year program for the blind at Louisiana Tech University. Then, Paula received her Master’s in Communications from LSUS. In 2010, Paula received her PhD in Counseling from Mississippi State University where she continued on to teach. Paula was an avid Mississippi State football fan and despite her inability to see, she never missed a Bulldogs game if she could help it. She loved the sounds of the stadium and was probably the loudest Bulldogs fan!

Paula was preceded in death by her father, John Allen Warren. Left to cherish Paula’s memory are her husband, Brian Peace; her mother, Pauline Rosina Warren; brother, W.A. “Buddy” Warren; uncle, Jack Redit; niece, Amanda Bodie; nephew, Blake Warren and wife, Ann; along with three great-nieces and three great-nephews.

Honoring Paula as pallbearers are Buddy Warren, Marvin Peace, Blake Warren, Ethan Warren, and Logan Warren.
