Peggy Ann Hughes Grubbs was born January 13, 1954 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Juanita Dugger Hughes and Allen Doyle Hughes. She married her high school sweetheart and they raised two wonderful children together. Peggy worked for many years as a sales associate at numerous retail stores in the Shreveport area and was a devoted homemaker to her family.
Peggy loved listening to her husband play music in various bands over the years. She was his number one fan. She had many different craft projects. She sold many of her beautiful wreaths, she poured her love into. Her favorite past time was spoiling her children and grandchildren. Peggy was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her kindness and light will be forever remembered. She passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Jesse Grubbs and her parents, Juanita and Allen Doyle Hughes.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Shawn Grubbs; daughter, Sundena Guerra and husband, Jorge; brother, Doyle Hughes; granddaughter, Jessica Clayton and husband, Noah and grandson, Seth Guerra.
A visitation for Peggy will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home & Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A celebration of life at graveside will occur Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home & Park. Rev. David Venable will officiate the services. Serving as pallbearers are Tony Grubbs, Tracy Grubbs, Robby Grubbs, James Tillman, Jeff Grubbs, Eric Boughton, David Freeman, and Jason Freeman. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Bubba Boatner, Greg Grubbs and Cory Grubbs.
