December 31, 1973March 22, 2020

Randal Wade Allen, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Sunday March 22, 2020 at the age of 46 in New Orleans, Louisiana due to liver failure that was very sudden. He was born December 31, 1973 to William “Bill” Mack Allen and Nadine Mason Allen in Bossier City, Louisiana. Randal was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend. He attended and graduated from Woodlawn High School in Shreveport, Louisiana on May 1993. On June of 1993 he married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Angela Morris, sharing 26 years and four children together. Randal worked as an Emergency Medical Technician. He was an avid New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers football fan. He was so excited when LSU won the National Football Championship this year. He enjoyed attending church, reading, and studying God’s word. He had a true love for Southern Gospel and Classic Country music. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends to discuss Jesus Christ, the latest politics, and always making everyone laugh with his witty humor and quick remarks. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years, Angela Morris Allen; children, Tyler Mason Allen and wife Halie, Hannah Grace Allen, Victoria Shelby Allen and fiancé Caleb Clark, and Joshua Matthew Allen; parents, Bill and Nadine Allen; Brother, Andy Allen and wife Lori; nephew, Donnie Allen; niece, Emilie Allen; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends that will treasure his memory. He was preceded in death by his fraternal grandparents, Bill and Mary Allen and maternal grandparents, Carles and Ruby Mason. In light of the public safeguards pertaining to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the family will host a graveside service at Centuries Memorial Park. Rev. Chris Hough will be officiating the service. Once precautions are lifted, a memorial service will be held to celebrate Randal and to accommodate friends and family hindered by the current pandemic fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared to his page on the Centuries Memorial website. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ligonier Ministries.

There are so many things I could say about Randall. We worked together for a long time and after he moved back to Louisiana we remained friends. I can't think of a time when I mentioned his name the words "my friend, or a really good friend of mine" didn't lead. He always made me laugh and was never disrespectful. He of course was rude but not to be mean but to make jokes, just because of his sarcastic personality. It was one of the things I loved about him. He used to tell me, I'm so glad you get my sarcasm. I will miss him very much. It will be difficult not having my weekly conversation with him.
