Reba Nell Herndon Burch was born on December 28, 1952, and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 6, 2026.
Funeral services honoring her life & music ministry will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Crossroads Church, 1701 Old Minden Road Suite 37, Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Celebration service at 3:30pm until conclusion followed by a small reception hosted by Crossroads Church where light refreshments will be served.
Reba was an ordained music minister and pastor who faithfully served in multiple churches throughout Louisiana and Tennessee, leaving a lasting imprint on congregations, choirs, and countless lives. A powerfully anointed pianist, singer and teacher who offered her gifts back to God with excellence, humility, and faithfulness. Jesus was the center of her life for 73 years and that is what she will be remembered for.
She was known for her humor, her signature eyelashes, amazing culinary skills, her creativity and ability to make everything special, never missing a single detail. She enjoyed decorating, word games, puzzles and had a great compassion and love for animals, especially dogs and Bigfoot.
To her daughters, she was the heart of their world and the voice that guided them. Leading by example with unconditional love, support, steady presence and a constant source of close friendship. To her husband, she was a faithful and loving wife - kind, generous, and deeply devoted. She cared for him with intention and grace. She was his culinary guide, an exceptional homemaker, and the heart of their home, creating a space that was comfortable, stylish, organized, and uniquely her own.
Reba is survived by her loving husband, Eugene “Geno” Burch; her daughters, Desirae Donnell and Mandy Thompson, and their partners, Garrett Pierson and Malorie Avaline; her goddaughter, Tiffany Caballero; her grandson, Llandon Broadhead; her sister, Lela Bagley; her niece, Tiffany Summerlin, and husband Brant; her great nieces, Avery and Sadie Summerlin; and her beloved dog, Truvy.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate SICU staff at Willis Knighton North, Rev. Carlton Gilmer of Crossroads Church, Sister Frances Duron and Rev. Denny Duron of Shreveport Community Church along with the many friends who have surrounded us with love, prayers, shared memories, and unwavering support during this most difficult time.
Those who wish to bring a small memento to be placed with Reba in her memory drawer within the casket are welcome to do so as a final expression of love and remembrance.
Floral arrangements, cards or gifts can be sent to Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
