Renee Vaughn

Carolyn Renee Mladan Vaughn was born April 11. 1972 in Shreveport, LA and gained her heavenly wings June 23, 2026, in Shreveport, LA after complications from surgery. She is now in a place she obsessed over, Heaven, where there is no pain. She always longed for Heaven.

Renee accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age. She was a homemaker and prayer warrior. Renee wrote beautiful prayers to God. She prayed scripture over anyone she met that needed prayer. If you asked, she was praying before you even finished asking. She was always praising and thanking God.

Left to cherish her memory is the love of her life, Mike Spence of Bossier City, LA; son, Prestyn Vaughn of Pineville, LA; daughter, Isabella Vaughn of Bossier City, LA; mother, Carolyn Mladan of Georgetown, TX; brothers, Milos A. Mladan (Tina) of Georgetown, TX, Michael Mladan of Galveston, TX and Danny Mladan of Shreveport, LA; sister, Lisa Mladan Calhoun of Shreveport, LA; nieces and nephews, Rebecca Mladan Fix (Andrew), Jaclyn Mladan Abbe (Drew), Amanda and Toni Mladan, Brandon Calhoun (Jamie), Steven and Aaron Calhoun (Kalisha James), Chelsie and Meagan Mladan; aunt, Judy Jones of Heflen, LA; sisters-in-law, Tangee Fitzgerald, Delana Lee, Kay Newton and Lisa and Richard; honorary sister, Melissa Bibby; honorary aunt Donna Bass; along with numerous great nieces, great nephews and cousins; also missing her terribly are her fur babies, her dogs Lennox and Little Boo and her cats, Minnie, Wilika, Stormie, Sylvie and Monkey.

Visitation will be held at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108, on June 29, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Milos A. Mladan Jr., Michael Mladan, Danny “Big and Sexy” Mladan, Steven Calhoun, Aaron Calhoun, Brandon Newton and Nathan Newton.
