God placed Rhonda on this earth to teach others how to love, laugh, and live. Her personality shinned and she never met a stranger. She always was giggling and teasing with everyone, but she would get serious when it came to her big-gulp coke zeros, crunchy Cheetos, and her Three Musketeer bars better known as monkey bars. She loved to color in her princess color books, and always had to have “two” boxes of Crayola Crayons. She was a devoted TV watcher by scheduling her day around her game shows, soap operas, and court shows. Her favorite artist/actors were Elvis Presley, ACDC, B-52’s, Three Stooges, and the one and only band “The Beatles”. Her most loved famous Elvis movie, Blue Hawaii was her inspiration to give herself the Blue Hawaii nickname to let everyone know that she loved anything that dealt with Elvis. She loved all genres of music, and she always wanted to hit the highway, with the windows halfway down, and the music rocking! She wore her shades and would sing to the top of her lungs while telling her baby sister Carla to drive while she chilled going down the road!
Rhonda also had six very important ladies beside mom in her life. Five of the ladies - Mrs. Deborah Cooper, Mrs. Earlien Cooper, Mrs. Marsha Johnson, Mrs. Diane Farow, who worked with the owner, Mrs. Clara Johnson of Johnson Client Care Services in Shreveport. She also had Mrs. Ruthie Myles from Easter Seals of Shreveport, who was always excited about receiving the biggest hug from Skips when she would come to visit. These ladies gave her joy and freedom to be independent and live on her own. Their love and devotion helped Rhonda feel confident, strong, and passionate about her day-to-day life. We THANK YOU for giving that to her and making her life full of happy memories and lots of love.
Rhonda is survived by her siblings Tammy Sanford from Homer Louisiana, Sonya Prather and husband John from New Bern North Carolina, Donald Sanford Jr., of Bossier City, Louisiana, Carla Sanford of Dubach, Louisiana, Amber Gilmore of Fort Worth Texas, Tonya Mills-Rowell and husband Bill of Dubach, Louisiana, and Angela Fontana and husband T.J. of Keithville, Louisiana. She was a beloved Aunt to nephews Little John, Christopher, Kaleb, and Kendall. She had nieces Ashley, Megan, Savanna, Izabela, Leona, and Kassie, with four great nephews, and three great nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents Donald Drew, Sr., and Barbara Ann Stovall Sanford; as well as her older sister, Donna Anne Thibodeaux.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday March 7, 2026 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home & Park on Mansfield Rd. in Shreveport Louisiana.
