Funeral services for Richard Allen Brooks Sr. will be Monday, March 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. held at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins. Richard will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park following the service. Pastor Darwin Hunter will be officiating the service.
Richard was born on September 29, 1957 to L.G. Brooks and Barbara Sherman Simon. He passed away at the age of 59 on February 27, 2017. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his sons, Richard Brooks Jr., James L.G. Brooks, and Joseph Brooks; a grandson, Trevor Hanna; his ex-wife, Melinda Todd Brooks; his mother, Barbara Simon; a step-father, Vernon Simon; a sister, Vickie Kleinsasser with her husband Frank; two brothers, Ricky Brooks with his wife Kathy and David Brooks with his wife Paula; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, L.G. Brooks.
