Nell: I don't know how I missed learning about Ron,but I did not now it until just now. I am so sorry to hear.  I can sympthize with you and I am walking with you in your shoes. All I can say it does ease up some.  
I have so enjoyed knowing Ron these years at our Re-Unions and will miss him very much this next year. I will return to Texas on 6 July from my 9 month sojourn is Florence, Italy.

Nell and Family, When a Loved One leaves us,  I find it hard to put my feelings in words that will console the void which has come into your lives. I ache for all of you.  Nell's friendship has been a blessing since our childhood days in Hope, Arkansas. Ron always seemed like "one of us".  Never a stranger .  He will always be remembered and loved. The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another. 

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Ronald Wayne Butler our “Brother-in-Arms”.   To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Ron.   And to Ron it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during the Korean War while serving in the U.S. Air Force.  Ron, we bid you a sad farewell.  You will be dearly missed from among our ranks.  Be at Ease.  Rest in Peace.
 
On behalf of the 1,307 members of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion,  I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Ron’s family and loved ones.
