Ronnie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was rooted in faith, family, and the simple things that brought him joy. A skilled cabinet maker by trade. Ronnie had a gift for working with his hands. Among the many things he built, some of the most meaningful were the deer plaques he lovingly made for his family and friends. Each one was more that just a piece of wood or a place to display a successful hunt; it reflected his craftsmanship, his love for hunting, and the pride he took in the accomplishments of those he loved. These treasured keepsakes will remain lasting reminders of the man who made them and the memories they represent.
If there was one thing Ronnie loved almost as much as his beloved Linda, it was deer hunting. The woods was his happy place, and hunting was far more than a pastime- it was a way of life. Some of his cherished memories were made in the woods alongside his son, Mark, grandsons, Chad and Kyle, passing down his love for hunting and the traditions that would carry on for generations. Though his health made it more difficult to enjoy the woods as often in his recent years, his passion for hunting never wavered. Whether he was sitting in a deer stand, reminiscing about hunts from years past, or simply keeping up with what was happening in the woods, hunting remained a part of his heart until the very end.
Ronnie was a God-fearing man whose faith was an important part of his life. He was a faithful member of Mission Point Baptist Church in Stonewall, Louisiana, for over 35 years, where he shared in the fellowship of his church family. His faith in God remained an important part of who he was and the legacy of love and faith he leaves behind.
