In 1978, Rose Ann accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, beginning a journey of faith that became a meaningful part of her life. Her love for the Word of God was evident in the way she read Scripture aloud. There was something special about hearing Rose Ann speak the Word; those who listened could feel the anointing and the presence of God through her reading. Her faith was not simply something she believed, but something she shared with others through the power of Scripture.
Rose Ann had many gifts and passions that made her who she was. She was a football fan, and her favorite team was LSU. Whether cheering on her beloved Tigers or enjoying the excitement of a game, football was one of the things that brought her joy.
She also had a true green thumb and a special love for plants. Her plants seemed to thrive under her care, growing beautifully and flourishing in a way that reflected the patience, attention, and love she poured into them. It was easy to see that she and her plants had a special connection.
Another of Rose Ann’s many God-given gifts was her ability to care for children. She had a natural way of looking after them, and caring for children was one of the many traits that made her special. Her nurturing spirit was a gift that touched the lives of those entrusted to her care.
Rose Ann’s life was a testament to the many ways love can be expressed: through faith, through nurturing others, through the simple joys of life, and through the things we care for with our whole hearts.
Rose Ann is survived by her husband, Ronald Story of Haughton, Louisiana; her brother, Sam Brocato of Riceville, Tennessee; her sisters, Mary Ann Keir of Jackson, Georgia, and Annette Davis of Atlanta, Georgia; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Though she will be deeply missed, the memories of Rose Ann Story will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her life, her faith, and the love she shared remain a lasting reminder of the blessing she was to others.
