Roxie Lynn Garrison, a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many, peacefully passed away on September 21st, 2023. Born on July 3rd, 1936 to Juanita Farrar and Forrest Cape, she brought light and love into the world.
Roxie was a devoted wife to her beloved husband Ronald Garrison. Their bond was unbreakable and their love served as an inspiration to all that knew them. Together they built a life filled with joy and cherished memories.
As a mother to Ticia Blanchard and Tamara Garrison. Roxie's nurturing spirit shone brightly through them. She instilled in her daughter’s values of compassion, strength, and kindness that continue to guide them today.
Roxie found immense joy in being a grandmother to Jeremy Blanchard (wife Brandi Blanchard), Derek Blanchard, Jered Blanchard. Her grandchildren were the apples of her eye; their laughter filled her heart with happiness. She also had the privilege of being a great-grandmother to Jaxon Blanchard, Avery Blanchard and Addison Blanchard. Great grandchildren who brought an extra sparkle into her life.
Aside from family life, Roxie accomplished much throughout her career as a LPN. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to caring for others during their times of need. Her compassionate nature made a lasting impact on those she cared for and she will be remembered for her unwavering dedication.
Outside of work, Roxie enjoyed various hobbies including spreading the gospel through acts of kindness. She found solace in reading books that enriched her mind, and she expressed creativity through sewing projects. Her sense of humor often led her on shopping adventures specifically for recliners. A little quirk that brought laughter into many lives.
Roxie is preceded in death by Juanita Farrar (mother), Forrest Cape (father), and Dick Cape (brother). She is survived by her loving husband, children, siblings Fran Whyde, John Kemp, Woodrow Kemp, and Mike E Farad.
A celebration of Roxie's life will be held on Wednesday, September 27 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108 at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Forest Park West cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request donations be made in Roxie's name to Life Path Hospice—an organization that provided compassionate care during her final days.
