Ruby Meeks Burrow

Shreveport, LA Ruby Meeks Burrow was born March 1, 1924 in Richland Parish. Her parents were Burley Tolbert and Eureka Ray Meeks. She went to be with her Lord January 8, 2015 in Shreveport.

Mrs. Burrow was a faithful Christian mother and grandmother. She was a member of Huntington Park church of Christ for more than 60 years. She was an expert quilter and showed a special love for making handmade quilts for her family and new mothers.

Mrs. Burrow is preceded in death by her husband, Durward G. Burrow and her parents. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Burrow and wife Naomi and Gerald Burrow and wife Linda; grandchildren, Steve Burrow and wife Sherrie and Kris Burrow and wife Kristy; great-grandchildren, Nikki Marshall and husband Nathan, Erin Burrow, and Brieanna Burrow; great great-grandchildren, Kyliegh and Kayden; a sister, Hildred Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held Monday, January 12, 2015, 11:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Minister Floyd Johnson of the Huntington Park church of Christ. Visitation with the family will be 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Centuries Memorial Park.

Pallbearers are Tommy Williams, Wayne Simmons, Ronnie Hollis, Ralph Hollis, Les Colthorpe, Johnnie Harris, and Nate Marshall.
