Sandra Mills Raska

Funeral services for Sandra Ann Ross Mills Raska, 67, will be held at Hill Crest Blanchard Chapel at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 4, 2022, with Pastor Ryan Matlock presiding. A visitation will be held prior from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Burial will be held at Memorial Gardens North in Blanchard, following the services.

Sandra was born October 28, 1954 in Beckville, Texas to Minden and Laura Ross and passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.

She is preceded in death by: her father, Alvin Minden Ross; mother, Laura Alice Schultz Ross; five brothers, Arlin “Cowboy”, Jimmy, Troy, M.L., Joe; and her previous husband, Frank Mills.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, JoAnne Holt of Childress, TX. and Alice Faye Mills of Shreveport, LA. Brother, Philip Ross of Tatum, TX., husband Tommy Raska, eleven grandchildren, three step-daughters and a host of family members.

Sandra enjoyed singing in the joy choir at FBC of Blanchard, Pacesetters group, Bible studies and history. She attended Beckville High School and graduated from TSTC in Marshall, TX, where she was a Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society Alumni. Sandra moved to Blanchard where she lived for 35 years.

Her love was for family and friends. She sacrificed much raising a handicapped daughter for 17 years, until she could no longer do it.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude’s or First Baptist of Blanchard.
