Sharon Adams Derbonne, a cherished resident of Keatchie, Louisiana, passed away on December 4, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on August 19, 1946, Sharon was a proud graduate of Brownwood High School, where her sharp mind and spirited nature made her stand out—known as the smartest in the group with a touch of rebel charm. She went on to earn her first nursing degree, beginning a life marked by service, strength, and compassion.
Sharon is survived by her loving family, including her brothers, Fred Adams (Deb) and Shelby Adams (Pat); her stepchildren, Karen Stevens (Sean), Kevin Derbonne, and Eugene Derbonne (Patricia); and her brothers-in-law, John Derbonne, Tommy Derbonne, and Ellis Derbonne. She is also survived by her niece, DeeDee Derbonne. Her legacy continues through her six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward her memory, love, and values.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on December 13, 2025, at Maple Springs Baptist Church, 17013 LA-5, Logansport, Louisiana.
Sharon will be remembered fondly for her warmth, her wit, and her unwavering spirit. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
