Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, Sherry was the beloved daughter of Mildred Louise Wharton Brown and R.A. Brown. She lived a life full of love, service, and joy, and will be remembered for her deep devotion to her family, her unwavering faith, and her generous heart.
A dedicated homemaker, Sherry also gave her time and talents throughout her life to many areas of the Baptist church. Her service to others reflected her strong faith and kind spirit. She had a free-spirited, fun-loving personality that brought light and laughter wherever she went. Family and friends were drawn to her warmth and quick wit. Her home was always open, and no one ever felt like a stranger in her presence. She took great joy in her children and grandchildren, and some of her happiest moments were spent singing with the radio and playing with her kids.
Sherry is survived by her daughter Christie Chipper (Bob), and her son Erik Marr (Jennifer); her cherished grandchildren: Britany Chipper, Nicholas Chipper, Jett Chipper, Grayson Marr, Beaux Marr, and Zachary Marr.
She is preceded in death by her parents, R.A. Brown and Mildred Louise Wharton Brown; her sister, Crystal Cook; and her granddaughter, Gabrielle Marr.
