

Preceded in death by his parents William Dale, Sr. & Ella Catherine Carson (Brunswick and Kansas City, Missouri) and older brother, retired Lt. Colonel William Dale Carson, Jr. (San Antonio, Texas).
Survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Cindee Carson (Shreveport, Louisiana), children Laurie Young, Justin Carson, Colton Carson, and Michelle Lindholm (husband Scott). Grandchildren Bryn Carson, Liliana Lindholm, and Myles Lindholm. Sisters Nancy Binkley, Barbara Bierman (husband Dennis), Betty McAdams (husband Mark), and Laurie Carson all from Kansas City & Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri.
Stuart spent his early years in Brunswick, Missouri and after moving to North Kansas with his family, graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1966. He had a life long love of sports and was an outstanding athlete in high school basketball and baseball. Later, he was a competitive heavyweight boxer in the Air Force.
He enlisted in the Air Force in 1966 and was part of the 315th Air Commando Wing during the Vietnam War. While in Vietnam, he got the nickname Kit, after the famous American frontiersman who was also from Missouri. After his time in the war, he was a B-52 aircraft electrician repairman and served 4 years as an E4 Sergeant at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, Louisiana. Stuart then began a career in the machining and trucking industry. He was a truck driver for Melton Truck Lines, did machining for Custom Wellhead/Valveworks, and eventually that led to working for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development as a bridge inspector for 10 years.
Stuart was a skilled craftsman and enjoyed building things for his children and grandchildren, and working on projects around the house. He adored his family and cherished the time spent with them. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and having a cold one around a bonfire with family and friends. He loved animals, especially his dogs, Buddy and Penny. He also enjoyed playing competitive pool and card games.

A burial ceremony will be held at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 12:30 pm.
