Born on November 27, 1948 in Shreveport, LA, Sue was the youngest of three daughters born to Wilbur and Juanita Ginnings of Waskom, TX. She lived a life marked by love, dedication, and adventure with her family, friends, and community.
As a grandmother, “Nanny” was known for her warm heart, generous spirit, and devotion to her grandchildren. She was known as a fun, loving and giving grandmother, and she adored all of her grandkids. Throughout her life, she enjoyed any creative endeavor to include painting, sewing, interior design and flower arrangement. She had the greenest thumb you’ve ever seen and loved to dance! She took great pride in even the smallest accomplishment by her grandchildren and always seized the opportunity to celebrate birthdays, milestones and every special moment. Sue was raised in the First United Methodist Church in Waskom, TX, and remained grounded in her faith throughout her life.
Sue is survived by two daughters, Angie Hall and Amy Sebald; their spouses, Scott Chapman and Adam Sebald; two sons, Dr. Richard Kamm, Jr. and Joseph Kamm; their spouses, Jennifer Kamm and Rebecca Kamm. She cherished her grandchildren, Remy Sebald, Austin Sebald, Sarah Kamm, Lillie Kate Chapman, Owen Chapman, Parker Chapman, Lillian Kamm, Joseph Kamm and Poppy Kamm. She was aunt to a multitude of beloved nieces and nephews, and a friend to everyone.
She was preceded in death by her adoring husband of 23 years, Dr. Richard Kamm, Sr., her sisters Loretta Ginnings Ellis and Judy Ginnings Johnson, her stepdaughter Kathryn Kamm and her lifelong best friend, Margaret Moody.
A funeral service will be held on June 30, 2026 at 1:00pm at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Rd., Shreveport, LA 71108 with a graveside service immediately after. Visitation will be held on June 30, 2026 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm also at Centuries Memorial.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Providence House, in memory of Sue Kamm. The family would also like to express gratitude to family friends Sue Cain Hodges and Trevor Keith for their love and support of Sue.
Sue’s laugh and fun-loving spirit will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
