She also had a deep love for music and found happiness in cooking for her family, sharing meals that brought loved ones together and created cherished memories.
Above all, Susan will be remembered for her compassion, creativity, strength, and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.

Susan is survived by her husband, Thomas L. Branch; her children, Kristene Branch (Ric Orcutt), Brandy Mechelle Mallett (Greg), and Thomas Jason Branch; her grandchildren, Devin Buckner, Blake Buckner, Cody Ware (Luisa Del Gato), Austin Orcutt, Ethan Branch, Harrison Mallett, Jake Mallett, Avery Mallett, Jonas Branch, Finley Branch, Dylann Branch; her great-grandchildren, Sean Buckner, Rinoa Buckner, Amina Buckner, and Alma Del Gato; and her sisters, Carolyn Mulford (Ronnie), Jerry Conger, and Sandra Hopkins (Jerry), as well as numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Friends and extended family members.
Susan was preceded in death by her father, Joe Mitchell; her mother, Agnes Mitchell; and her brothers, Bobby Joe Mitchell, Larry Mitchell, and James Mitchell.
Visitation will be held at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108, on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 9333 Linwood Ave., Shreveport, LA 71106, on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 10:00 am.
Pallbearers will be Harrison Mallett, Jake Mallett, Ethan Branch, Cody Ware, Ric Orcutt, and Greg Mallett.
Final resting place will be Forest Park West, 4000 Meriwether Rd, Shreveport.
