Parents; Martha Rogers and the Late Jeffrey Tyroler.
After birth it was discovered that Timothy had suffered some minor defect to the brain which required surgery after which resulting in his disability.
Tim attended Mansfield High School and shortly after was enrolled into the Desoto Arc Workshop in 1980. In 1981 Tim along with his guardians relocated to Greenwood, La., at which time he was admitted into the Old Mooringsport Group Home located in Mooringsport, La. In 1987 Tim reached a milestone in his life and despite all odds that were against him he transitioned into The Arc Caddo Bossier’s (Formally CBARC) Supported Independent Living Program. During this time Tim learned to live independently with very minimum assistance from The Arc Staff.
Tim was employed briefly at James Conly Workshop for several years until he decided to retire. Tim lived a quite simple life and he enjoyed his independence. He enjoyed visiting his Mother when he could, riding the bus and shopping at the local stores, his daily routine included him traveling across town for a morning cup of coffee from McDonalds. Tim passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, December 2, 2019.Tim will be greatly missed by his family & friends.
He was preceded in death by; his Grandparents; Herman & Rose Atwood, and his Guardians; Mr. & Mrs. FD Murray.
He is survived by; His Mother; Martha Rogers, Sister; Maggie (Steve) McAdien Uncle; Ron (Sandra) Atwood, A Devoted Best Friend & Brother; Jeff “Jelvis” Smith, Caregiver; John Mosley Sr. The Board & Staff of the Arc Caddo Bossier, Neighbors of the Supported Independent Living Community, Faith Lutheran Church and a host of other relatives and friends.
