A Celebration of Life service for Tonya Jean Leone, 46, will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Tonya was born on September 5, 1972 in Shreveport, LA and went to be with her Lord on September 5, 2018 in Longview, TX.

Tonya was a dispatcher for AEP Swepco. She loved fishing, playing with kids, and taking care of her fiancé, Dennis. Tonya’s loving, vibrant personality was a joy to all who knew her.

Tonya was preceded in death by her parents, Donnie Leone, Sr. and Jean Leone and her son, Ty Hunter Orr. Left to cherish her memory are her fiancé, Dennis Fouts; her son, Brandon Orr; her sister, Tammie Norwood and husband Brad; her brother, Bubba Leone and wife Kim; her sister, Pam Matthews and husband Greg; her nieces and nephews, Amanda Vaughn, Jared Santoff, Josh Santoff, Trey Leone, Allison Leone, Tanner Head, and Mollie Matthews; and great nephews, Brantley and Gunner Vaughn.

One friend described Tonya perfectly in this quote, “Time is so precious, we never know when we have to say goodbye to family and friends. Last night we lost a dear friend, Tonya Leone. She was such a beautiful person inside and out, she was smart, funny, hard working, tough and would give anyone a run for their money bass fishing. I know she also was a great mom, sister, aunt and she would love you like God would. She always had open arms for her loved ones and friends. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten. She has touched all of our hearts with her kindness. We love you, Tonya Leone.”

My name was Fauna-dear and I was also a member of Wildones card club. There were a bunch of us, including Tonya, and we became close friends, playing for hours just about everyday!! We all had a blast!! It meant so much to win THAT game, and to gain THOSE points!!! I can't remember how long we played in that particular league, but when it changed, we all moved on to the next league! Years passed, we all moved on and I found Facebook!! SURPRISE! I ran into Tonya!!!! How exciting!!! We kept in touch through Facebook, and I saw her pictures, and kept up that way. And now she's moved on to heaven to be with our Lord. With tears in my eyes I want to say "I love you Tonya, I know you're in a much better place, but I'll still miss seeing you. You're in my prayers and we will meet again. Until then, I love you.

I will never forget Tonya and the last conversation we had. She told me she hit a deer and messed up her head light that morning on her way to work. We were cracking up laughing because it just so happens that she was following Dennis and the deer ran out right in front of her and she told me that Dennis just kept on going. I will truly miss our talks and laughs. Rest easy Tonya. Work just won’t be the same without you.

I just had so many times I remember Tonya from DPSO. I worked with CPS and she would call and wake me up to go out on a case . I never was easy to come alive. I’d answer in my typical grouchy tone to hear “WAKE IT UP SUNSHINE”. She was a sweet person and my heart goes out to her family and friends! RIP Tonya!

Tonya and Her Buddy Tanya wondered into a GinRummy League I used to run on probably 15 years ago.
From that day, we have been friends. I liked her craziness from the first moment.
I can not ever remember her in a bad mood.
Tonya, Take care of our truck until the 3 of us meet again......
You will be missed by many, me Included. Hugs Don

Tonya was a kind of her own. You never had to wonder about who she really was because they just don't come any more real than her. When she complimented me on the bass I caught, I knew I had done well. She was so much to so many and will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers to all the heavy hearts she touched. ❤
