Keithville, LA - Graveside services celebrating the life of Verna Lea Nash will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Centuries Memorial Park. Officiating will be Pastor Jack Alumbaugh of Baptist Tabernacle.
Verna Lea was born on August 26, 1928 in Vowellsmill, LA to Dewy and Rena Montgomery and went to be with her loving husband, Leslie and son, Billy on March 20, 2021. She was a very vocal individual who loved with all her heart. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, mawmaw and friend. She spent most of her life as a homemaker but also worked as a seamstress holding the assistance manger position at Cloth World for many years. She loved to paint, read, and crochet as well as woodworking with her beloved husband. Mawmaw loved all her grandchildren and great grandchildren who brought her many years of joy.
Ms. Nash was preceded in death by her husband, son, parents, one brother and two sisters.
Left to cherish beautiful memories of Verna Lea are daughter, Sharlene Yates of Keithville, LA; son, Larry Nash of Keithville, LA; four grandkids, Leslie Yohe and husband Tim of Seguin, Tx ; Chris Nash and wife Natalie of Haughton,LA; Heather Richter and husband Brandon of Keithville, LA; Celeste Backest of Shreveport, LA; nine great grandkids, Casey Yohe, Faith Nash, Bailey Brown, Gage Brown, Hope Nash, J.B. Backest, Elizabeth Lavergne, Nicholas Lavergne, and Reagan Nash; three nephews and two nieces.
Honoring Ms. Nash as pallbearers will be: Chris Nash, Brandon Richter, Tim Yohe, Gary Bush, Gage Brown and J. B. Backest.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Baptist Tabernacle of Shreveport, LA or to a Cancer society of your choosing.
Verna Lea will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
