Vicki T Massey

On the morning of September 3, 2017, Vicki Trainer Massey went home to be with her Lord and Savior. Vicki was born on March 11, 1957 to Chuck and Kathy Trainer. She was a lifelong resident of Shreveport. She was a loving wife and mother – The BEST wife, mother, sister and friend EVER!

Vicki enjoyed cooking, entertaining and playing any type of game. She loved her Bunco group, of which she was a member for 30 years, and her Bible study group. She was a graduate of Trinity Heights Christian Academy. Vicki was a Christian and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Vicki loved her Lord and was a testimony to so many! To know her was to love her!

She is survived by her loving husband, of 35 years, William M. “Bill” Massey; daughter, Nicole Massey Johnson and husband, Colquitt; son, William Peyton Massey and wife, Nicole; grandson to be, Liam Peyton Massey; sister, Debbie Trainer Howard and Mike; and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law and cousins.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, Chuck and Kathy Trainer; baby brother, Dempsey Trainer, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Perry and Billie Mullican; paternal grandparents, Bill and Maude Evans; in-laws, T.A. and Pearl Massey.

A visitation will be Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. A service will be Friday, September 8, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church with former Pastor Rick Edmonds officiating. Burial will follow at Centuries Memorial Park. Honoring Vicki as pallbearers are Colquitt Johnson , Blake Howard, Chad Whidden, Clayton Allen, Tyler Thompson and Bruce T. Massey II. Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Davis and Jordan Davis.

Vicki had an abundance of friends, who remained by her side. The family would like to thank Amy Dowe and special niece, Brooke Beard for their loving care. The family would also like to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and prayer. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Christian Hospital in Vicki’s name.
