Virginia Goelden Riggs

Virginia retired from the banking industry. She loved to cross stitch, enjoyed gardening, a great cocktail, shopping and traveling. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. Virginia had a great ability to organize. She made many memories researching genealogy with her husband Jerry. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her best and loved her most.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank F. Gaspard and Doris Cupples Gaspard; brother, Melvin Gaspard and baby sister, JoAnn Gaspard.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Jerry Riggs; Daughter, Patricia Edwards (Richard); son, Darren Goelden (Angel); stepson, Darren Riggs; grandchildren, Brandon Johnson, Ariel Rogers, Jordan Goelden, Dawson Doyle, Jacey Doyle, Keely Goelden, and Presley Doyle; great grandchildren, Camryn Kendrick, River Johnson, Madi Goelden, and Willow Goelden.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 1, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108 with Bro. Kendall Holley officiating. Inurnment will take place at Centuries Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Willis Knighton Hospice especially Monica Bailes, Kathy Furlow, and Judy Rambin.
