Wanda Janet Ozment Spence

Wanda is predeceased by her parents, Purdy Gill and Geneva Elizabeth Heinley Ozment; sister, Nina Joyce Ozment; husband, Houston Clyde Spence; and nephew, Jon "Danny" Ozment.

Wanda is survived by her daughters, Tammy Pierce and husband, Bob, and Sandra Monroe and husband, Ray; grandchildren, Kristopher Gordon and wife, Melony, Mandy Acosta, and Jordan Monroe; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Ansley; brother, Kenneth "Bud" Ozment and spouse Catherine; several nieces and a multitude of friends.

Wanda retired after many years of service from AT&T and later worked many years as a receptionist at Promise Hospital, where she was able to put her "gift of gab" to the ultimate use, often joking and laughing with staff members and lifting the spirits of patients and their visitors as they entered and exited the facility. She never met a stranger.

Prior to her illness, Wanda loved to run the roads with her dearest friend, Corine, shopping and trying out new restaurants. She also enjoyed crafting, feeding the squirrels in the backyard and loving on her kitty cats.

Tammy and Sandra would like to thank the staff and nurses at Heritage Manor in Bossier City for their love, patience, kindness, care and for lifting the spirits of their Mama during this difficult journey.
