Wanda Faye Jenkins McMillon was born on October 21, 1943, in Mansfield, Louisiana, to the late Clarence Jenkins Sr. and Viola Myles Jenkins. She was the fifth of sixteen children and the oldest daughter—a role that shaped her nurturing spirit, natural leadership, and unshakable sense of responsibility.
A devoted woman of deep faith, Wanda lived a life anchored in service, love, and encouragement. She was widely known for her kind heart, gentle strength, and the uplifting words she offered to everyone she met. Her unwavering belief in the power of prayer and her compassion for others left a lasting impression on countless lives.
On September 3, 1963, Wanda married her childhood sweetheart, Booker T. McMillon. Together, they built a life grounded in love, ministry, and family, sharing 61 beautiful years of marriage. Their union was blessed with four children: twins Andrea and Angela (Angela passed at birth), Stephen McMillon and Cerone McMillon. Wanda was a devoted wife and mother, tirelessly supporting her husband and children in every facet of their lives.
A visitation for Wanda will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA 71108. A graveside will occur Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home & Park, 8801 Mansfield Rd, Shreveport, LA 71108.
