A Celebration of Life service will be held for Wendell Ray Cox, 58, on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home in Shreveport, LA. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
Wendell was born to Bobby Wayne Cox and Peggy Davis Lacaze on August, 27, 1960 in Natchitoches, LA. He went to be with his Lord on November 5, 2018 in West Virginia. Wendell was a big-hearted, gracious person who enjoyed life. He loved to fish, hunt, golf, and garden. Wendell was a superintendent in the oilfield for the past several years. He also loved animals, especially his dog, Duty. Wendell will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Wendell was preceded in death by his father. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Peggy Davis Lacaze; his loving wife, Gail; his stepson, Aaron Raymond; his brother, Tommy Cox (Darla); his sister, Susan Hall (Tony); his sister, Carolyn Hynes (Randy); his numerous nephews and niece; and his many devoted friends.
Honoring Wendell as pallbearers will be: Tommy Cox, Randy Hynes, Tony Hall, Daniel Page, Mike Vaughn, and Howard DeYoung. Honorary pallbearers will be: Ronnie Davis, Joshua Cox, and Torrey Raines.
