William Bryan Wooley

William Bryan Wooley, known affectionately as "Bill" to his family and friends, passed away on July 6, 2023, at the age of 75, in his hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana. He leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and unwavering commitment to his family.

Bill's remarkable journey began when he was born on September 7, 1947. In his childhood, he faced adversities which led him to be on his own from the tender age of 14. Determined to create a different life for himself and his future family, Bill made a solemn promise that he would work tirelessly to provide them with a life that he never had as a child.

In the summer of 1963, at the CYO Dance in Shreveport, Bill's life changed forever when he met the love of his life, Vickie. Their love story flourished, and they embarked on the journey of marriage on January 15, 1967. Bill and Vickie shared an unbreakable bond, built on love, respect, and unwavering support for each other.

Bill was a devoted father to his two sons, Bryan and Ryan. As a father, he wholeheartedly embraced the responsibility of providing for his family and ensuring they had everything they needed. He worked tirelessly throughout his life to fulfill the promise he made to himself as a young man. Bill's dedication and unwavering commitment were evident in everything he accomplished.

At the young age of 14, Bill began his career with Stephenson Floor Covering, and for the next 57 years, he remained loyal and hardworking. He became known as a man of integrity, driven by a singular goal to provide for his loved ones. Bill's work ethic and commitment to excellence were admired by all who knew him.

Outside of work, Bill cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. He reveled in the role of a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His presence brought joy and laughter to family gatherings, creating lasting memories for generations to come. Bill's legacy lives on through his beautiful wife, Vickie, his two sons, Bryan and Ryan, his seven grandchildren, Cori, Ethan, Malachi, Zadok, Maximus, Isabel, and Odin, as well as his great-grandchild, Bodhi.

A visitation to celebrate Bill's life will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home & Park, located at 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at 11:00 A.M., paying tribute to the incredible life of William Bryan "Bill" Wooley.

Bill will forever be remembered as a man who overcame adversity, fulfilled his promises, and demonstrated unwavering love for his family. His hard work, dedication, and the love he shared will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to have known him. Bill's spirit will live on, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of his loved ones.
