Mrs. Willie Catherine Gingles

Funeral services for Mrs. Willie C. Gingles, 79, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 30, 2012 at the Centuries Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chad Hardbarger officiating. Interment will follow in Munnerlyn Chapel Cemetery near Ida, LA. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gingles was born December 9, 1932 to William and Mary Norment, and entered into rest September 26, 2012 in Shreveport. Willie was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Shreveport, she loved cooking, the great outdoors, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Gingles; parents, William and Mary Norment ;twin daughters, Janice Kay and Janet Kay Gingles; brother, William Herbert Norment, Jr.

Survivors include her three children, George W. Gingles and wife Kayla; Kathy Davidson and husband Dwayne, Michael K. Gingles and wife Yoshiko; sister, Louise McDuff; brother, Lyman Norment; twelve grandchildren, and twenty great grandchildren.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Riverview Care Center nurses and staff; and Willis- Knighton Pierremont 5th. West Wing Nurses and Staff for their kind and devoted care; and to her special friend Alva Rich, for making her last few months enjoyable.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
