Willodean Jackson King

Shreveport, LA- Services celebrating the life of Willodean Jackson King, 88, will be conducted Monday, August 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Pastor Roger Brantley will officiate. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Mrs. King’s family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Dean was born in Gandy, LA on August 14, 1927 and entered into rest in Shreveport, LA on August 14, 2015. She was a homemaker and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Dean was the best mom and mamaw in the whole wide world and will be deeply missed.

Dean was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Cora Jackson; sons, Sonny King, Mikey Valentine, and daughter Cherry Valentine Thomas. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 60 years, Douglas King; daughters, Penny LaRoux and husband Robert, Rebecca Compton and husband Jerry; sister, Martha Kelly and husband Chuck; brother, Jimmy Jackson and wife Bobbie Jean; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Matt LaRoux, Adam LaRoux, Dylan Baudoin, Jared Fry, Kenny Kelly, and Terry Kelly.
