Mr. Woodrow "Woody" Wilson Hicks

Stonewall, LA- Graveside services celebrating the life of Woodrow Wilson Hicks, 50, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Centuries Memorial Park. Officiating will be Bro. Jim Owens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

Woody was born on August 6, 1961 in Shreveport, LA and passed away on June 2, 2012 in Stonewall, LA. He was a member of the Baptist faith. Woodrow loved working in his yard, painting, fishing, playing darts and hunting. He was an avid outdoorsman. Mr. Hicks loved spending time with his “Brothers.”

Preceding Woody in death was his grandparents, Woodrow W. Wise and Una Wise and stepfather, Charles Washburn.

Left to cherish beautiful memories of Woody is his mother, Sharon Washburn; sisters, Tina Washburn, Mary Austin(Jerry); brothers, Mike Washburn(Pam), Ricky Washburn(Denice); aunts, Sandra Posey, Judy Mayes and husband Clayton; special cousin, Eddie DeFriend; cousins, Kim Whitehead(Randy) and Barry Mayes as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Honoring Woody as pallbearers will be: Shannon Fraiser, Daniel Sanders, Alex Stockman, Bubba Ratliff, Curtis Ratliff and Joey Marcantel.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Southern Care Hospice, Dani Percival and “The Brothers” for all the care and love shown to Woody.
