

COMTE, André – 49, Cooks Brook, formerly of Winnipeg, MB, passed away in the Halifax Infirmary Site, QEII, Halifax on November 19, 2011. Born in Fort William, ON, he was a son of the late Charles and Albina Carol (Wos) Comte. Andre was a former member of the military and worked at a variety of jobs, was a landscaper, and was a head cook at several Winnipeg restaurants. He was currently employed as an aircraft mechanic at I.M.P. He had a number of interests and hobbies, playing and coaching hockey in his younger days, fishing, camping, skating and watching stockcar racing. Andre was involved in bicycle racing and competed in the Worlds in Edmonton in 2005 and Quebec 2002. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters, taking them swimming, skating, fishing as well as other activities. He is survived by his wife Donna (Smith), daughters Juliette, Katrianna, stepchildren Joshua, Asaria, step grandchild Ame-Raeya; sisters Louise, Jeanine, Suzanne and Jacqueline; brothers Marc, Joseph, Paul and Raymond; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Robert. No visitation by request. Funeral service 2pm, Thursday, November 24, in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, (Exit 10, Highway 102), Rev. David LeBlanc officiating.
