Apolonia Bilby

BILBY, Apolonia “Lona” - 86, Debert, formerly of Maitland passed away with her family by her side in Debert Court, Debert on October 23, 2011. Born in Ymuiden Oost, The Netherlands, she was the daughter of the late Geeard and Petronella Bruinsma. Lona was a member of the Anglican Church, Maitland. She was a home maker and a resident of Maitland since she immigrated to Canada in 1947. Survived by a daughter Donna (Lewie), Maitland; a son Ernie, Maitland; sisters Truus and Nell, both of Holland; many nieces and nephews both in Canada and Holland; special niece Kim (Mark), her son Kyle (Amanda) and their daughter Lucy, 3 grandchildren Michelle (Fred), Sherbrooke, NS; Stephanie (Jim), Debert; Brandon, Maitland; 3 great-grandchildren Alyssa and Emma, Debert; Merissa, Sherbrooke; daughter-in-law Pam Smith. She was predeceased by husband Thompson. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home. There will be no visitation or service at her request.
