

HORNE, Clyde Charles – 76, Shubenacadie, passed away March 21, 2010 at home. Born in Enfield on August 7, 1933, he was a son of the late Ambrose and Katherine (Wilmont) Horne. Clyde was a resident of Shubenacadie for the past 18 years and drove a school bus for the Colchester East Hants School Board for 36 years. Clyde loved camping with family and friends, especially at Sullivan’s Beach. Clyde is survived by a son Ambrose(Darlene), daughters Darlene Horne, Julie (Allan) Thompson, Yvonne (Bill) Dixon, Colleen (Glen) Rudolph, Caren (Troy) Henderson; 18 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother Leo; sisters Lorraine Forbes, Shirley Gaetz, Alma White, Nancy Ryan and Sharon Rochon. He was predeceased by his loving wife Yvonne “Bonnie”, infant son Charles; brothers Ray, Ronald, Harold; sisters Reta, Greta and Barbara.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. Visitation will be held 6:30PM-9PM, today, Tuesday March 23, 2010 at St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, Enfield from where funeral services will be held 11am Wednesday March 24, 2010, Father Andrew Rembarczyk officiating. Interment will be in St Bernard’s Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Lung Association and Local Hospice Society.
